Peace on Earth, Good will to men

I'm sitting here on Christmas day with a santa hat on my head, a red necklace around my neck and red polish on my nails. I love Christmas and getting into the spirit of the season. I'm playing MercyMe's Christmas Sessions and I heard the bells is the current song. It is such a beautiful song and the lyrics are so fitting for Christmas this year. So much has happened over this last year that has tried to steal peace and joy. Hatred fills the hearts and minds of so many people. So many tragic events have meant that there will be many people grieving this holiday season for loved ones lost.

Love needs to return.

Start small. Love your family. Love your friends. Love your neighbours.

May your Christmas be a beautiful reminder of God's love, a special time spent with family and friends and filled with many blessings and good cheer.

Merry Christmas. Peace on Earth, Good will to men.

I heard the bells
I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men

And thought how as the day had come
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men

I can hear them
I can hear them
I can hear them
I can hear them

And in despair I bowed my head
"There is no peace on earth", I said
For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, goodwill to men

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead nor does He sleep
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, goodwill to men

I can hear You
I can hear You
And I can hear You
And I can hear You

I can hear You
I can hear You
Yeah yeah, oh
Yeah yeah yeah, oh

Well I could still hear You
And I can hear You
Oh

I can hear You now
I can hear You now
I can hear You now
I can hear You now
