Brisbane's Southbank looked resplendent in its Christmas finery this year. Red and white tents of the Southbank Christmas markets housed all manner of arts and crafts waiting to become treasured Christmas gifts. At night, the fairy lights draped in the trees twinkled magically and helped transport the viewer to thoughts of a white christmas with lots of Christmas cheer. Poinciana trees embraced the Christmas spirit, decked out in red and green. All that was missing was a little snow and some mulled wine, and possibly some chestnuts roasting on an open fire.
I was so thrilled to see the Christmas markets set up and being so popular. I hope they continue it on for years to come. A beautiful Christmas tradition for a southern hemisphere Christmas.
I encourage you to check them out next year!
